We have an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Associate Building Services Engineer to work for a leading development and design consultancy in Manchester City Centre.

Job Outline

Plans, directs and coordinates activities of designated teams to ensure that goals or objectives of projects are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate staff. Partakes in Business Development objectives of Company. Contributes to management of fees and cashflow.

Principal Objectives and Responsibilities include the following, other objectives may be assigned:

Reviews project proposals or plans to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, resource requirements and allotment of available resources to various phases of project.

Establishes work plan and resourcing for each phase of project, and arranges for recruitment or assignment of project personnel.

Confers with project team to outline workplan and to assign duties, responsibilities and scope of authority.

Directs and coordinates activities of team personnel to ensure projects progress on schedule and within prescribed budget.

Reviews status advised by project personnel and external parties and modifies schedules or plans as required. Prepares project reports for Management, Client or others.

Appreciation of Contract Law.

Confers with team personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems. Represents company at technical, contract and administration meetings with all parties. Uses computer assisted project and business management software.

Invoicing and credit control.

Team Leadership. Commercial acumen.

C Eng / MCIBSE or equivalent. BSc/BEng or higher.
