Commercial Sales Engineer

Cubed Resourcing are recruiting for a rapidly growing manufacturer of machined components and castings that currently have an opportunity for a Commercial Sales Engineer to join their expanding team. This will be a technical role of a varied and diverse administrative nature – including account management, purchasing, estimating and order processing.

Our client operate within a specialist market, supplying to various industries including rail, automotive, defence and construction with customers including the MOD and various Blue Chip organisations. Some of the products that they supply require specialist, outsourced testing and certification therefore a technical aptitude and engineering know-how is required for this role.

As a Commercial Sales Engineer, your focus will be around providing customers with technical guidance on their orders which come through regularly in the form of enquiries therefore no cold calling is required for the role.

This would be suited to a Sales Engineer that is looking for an office based role or a recent graduate of engineering that has excellent communication & IT skills with a good technical understanding.

Key responsibilities:

- Handling customer enquiries via email
- Advising customers on technical aspects of their order including materials pricing
- Purchasing of outsourced products and materials through various sources
- Working closely with the technical team at both pre and post sales stages ensuring process costings are accurately collated and subsequently maintained
- Fast, accurate and precise data entry and processing of customer orders using the CRM and relevant systems

Who we are looking for:

- An engineering background with a technical aptitude is essential
- Knowledge of the sales function of a business would be desirable including previous experience
- An excellent communicator, driven towards the growth of the business
- System savvy; Microsoft Office, Sage or a similar system
