Project Management Office (PMO) Manager – Software Development

Location:        Woking, Surrey

This is an exciting opportunity to come and join an energetic and dynamic team as a Project Management Office (PMO) Manager. Based at their Woking office, this position is available immediately.

You will be working as part of the software development team within a global organisation servicing a number of proprietary applications for both PC and mobile.

The Role

As the PMO Manager you will standardize project-related governance processes and facilitates, sharing of resources, methodologies, tools and techniques. You will also bring economies of repetition, reduce product and project risk, and ensure alignment of projects to the business strategy.

In this position you will hold a Project Management role as required and will act as the Scrum Master for a portfolio of projects.  You are required to have full software application lifecycle experience in New Product Development and Lifecycle Management, and a proven track-record in managing the whole process including the business case preparation, scoping, planning, budget, risk management, resource management, implementation, quality and testing in Agile environments. Knowledge of project management tools such as Microsoft Project and the Jira suite are essential to this role.

To support our Global presence the role holder will need to attend regular evening meetings and schedule further out of hours meetings as required.

You must be experienced managing interfaces with senior stakeholders (steering committee, CxO, country managers, etc.), preparing and delivering project status reports with financial variance reporting. You must have good people skills, being able to show sensitivity and understanding in resolving conflicts as well as having the ability to pre-empt and minimise conflicts.
