Assistant Team Manager - Family Support
We are looking for an experienced and skilled Assistant Team Manager to join a reputable Family Support Service in Sutton, on a full time, permanent basis.
This Services runs as part of the Children in Need provision, providing a 0-18 multi-disciplinary service, which includes some Child Protection, Looked after Children and Court cases. The service seeks to provide a multi-disciplinary response to families who are at risk and in need to prevent the escalation of concern and further entry into children services interventions. The focus is on working with families as a whole.
As an Assistant Team Manager, you will be the vital link between your team and senior management. This role will be focused on motivating, inspiring and challenging your team. You will be responsible for line managing Consultant Social Workers and supporting them in their supervision and management of social workers. You will act as a role model for change and provide strong management skills to drive performance and exceed targets set by the service
We are looking for either an experienced Assistant Team Manager of a highly skilled Senior Practitioner who is ready to take the next step in their career. To be successful you will need to have a comprehensive knowledge of the Children Act 1989, Adoption & Children Act 2002 and related statutory regulations and guidance, plus other child care legislation relevant to the service area
