A ground floor Business Development Manager opportunity within the dynamic and rapidly growing corporate sports events sector.

Excellent key career opportunity for a highly ambitious Senior Business Development Manager looking for a major and important career move.

The Senior Business Development Manager role is to look after and grow existing clients, develop new end user business and open up new market sectors. Our client provides event branding services to sponsors, venues and promoters of televised sports events (horse racing, cycling, etc). They operate nationwide throughout the UK, France and Ireland. Their aim is to compete with and beat the best event branding companies in the UK by setting new standards in this dynamic and exciting industry.

BASIC: £45,000 per annum + on-target bonuses. OTE £55,000

ADDITIONAL BENEFITS: Executive company car or allowance / full out of pocket expenses / private health plan

LOCATION: You will ideally be living in the Home Counties or London area.

JOB SPECIFICATION: The Business Development Manager is an expansion role involving developing existing relationships but crucially generating new business by presenting and selling to clients at senior manager and director level.

You will need to be strategic in your approach to indentify and target new growth sectors to whom our client`s high value/high return proposition will be relevant. A key part of the role will be the recruitment, development and motivation of your own sales support and admin team.

THE COMPANY: Allertons Events – part of the market leading Allertons Group, specialists in the UK racing industry. The Allertons Events division has already had considerable success within the established horse racing sector and recognises the huge potential of the motor racing, cycling, marathon, triathlons, extreme and electronic sports sectors growth areas. REQUIREMENTS: Senior sales/area manager/BDM background and experience. Ideally you will have a proven track record of success selling within the events sector. Knowledge of the sports event industry would be an advantage but is not essential.
