Our client is a leading Print & Direct Mail company based in the Birmingham area.

They have been experiencing major growth over recent years and have added staff to most departments and now they are seeking to add to the busy IT/Data team with more IT/Data based staff.

They already have a dedicated and hard working team of 10 staff that work on a shift pattern to produce up to date and accurate Data for the Sales and Production departments.

PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS NOT JUST A DATA IN-PUTTING ROLE

We are seeking a experienced Data Processser who can manage Data.

-Database experience
-Macros
-Mail-Merging

Duties: The role involves the day to day production of MAIL-MERGED letters, labels, envelopes and printing. As a hands on position you will be responsible for each and every job from initial set up to final print. Attention to detail is vital and you will be used to working to tight deadlines whilst taking a methodical and proactive approach.

Ideally transactional mail background experience is advantageous but not necessary. They would have the ability to develop MACROS and work on various upcoming mail projects.

As a Team Player you will need to work with other members of the Production Department to ensure jobs are prioritised and effectively completed.

Responsibilities:
-Good all round knowledge of IT and an excellent understanding of Microsoft Access, Word and Excel.
-Based in a busy mailing house the role involves producing mail merged letters, labels, envelopes and printing.
-Data processing.
-To ensure that all printers are kept to a maximum machine output.
-Promote and maintain a clean working environment.
-Promote good communication throughout.
-Understand DSA and postage.
-To assist the company in any additional work that is needed.
-Any knowledge of Planet Press or print shop would be advantageous.

Working Hours: 9am – 5.30pm (shift work) prompt Monday to Friday.
(Flexibility will be required to work around staffing levels i.e. nights and weekends)
