The Early Years Trainee Teacher Person Specification
The right candidate will be an effective graduate with an encouraging personality, and ideally someone who possesses a genuine interest in Early Years education! If you are a hands-on person who enjoys seeing children develop socially and academically, as well as having the passion to get involved in extra-curricular activities, then the school will want to meet you! Is that you…?
The Early Years Trainee Teacher Role
As an Early Years Trainee Teacher you will be moving throughout the Early Years phase, adding much needed support on an ad hoc basis and developing new skills as you work through your Early Years Teacher Training, putting in to practice your new-found classroom skills as and when the school see you are ready! This school always ensures that all new members of staff receive extensive support from the first day to the last, and will offer you a direct line of support through their excellent SENCO, who takes an active interest in the management of budding teachers. Work across many different areas, observe lots of different teaching styles and approaches, and forge your own path on route to becoming a qualified Early Years Teacher!
This school is a welcoming Primary and is located within easy reach of both rail and road in North Greenwich! Ofsted rate it as being ‘Good in all areas’, and they have recently been taken over by a local Trust, which will lead to massive school-wide improvement in the facilities, the level of training, and the support for new members! Attainment is below the borough average at present, and is above the National Average, so one of the first priorities for the new SLT is to address the academic achievement in the school; a lot of which starts at the Early Years!
