This is an exciting opportunity for as we seek a trainee to assist our Temporary Design Engineer. You will also be able to work closely with our friendly and passionate Health and Safety team.

As our Trainee Temporary Works Design Engineer, you will be providing support on our temporary works designs for our national schemes.

We will need you to have a strong eye for detail in order to help assist in detecting any technical defects and omissions in scaffold designs and equipment.

You will also assist in ensuring the Company’s compliance with the CDM regulation, BS 5975 and increasing demands made by contractors in respect of the temporary works procured on their projects.

As the successful candidate, you will need excellent communication skills to build strong rapport with our subcontractors, suppliers, permanent works designers and consultants, to ensure a consistent approach to the management of temporary works.

We will also require you to have strong academic qualifications, ideally a BEng (Hons) or Mend in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent)

Ideally, you should have some experience working with CAD software (or similar) and be able to understand and practically apply knowledge of construction design.
