Project Coordinator (Peer Mentoring)

Providing advocacy and user involvement services across England, the client is a growing organisation working with people who are vulnerable or marginalised to raise their voices and have their rights respected. 

Position: Peer Mentoring Project Co-Ordinator 
Location: London 
Job Type: Part Time, Fixed Term Contract Until July 2018 
Hours: 30 hours per week 
Salary: £21,000 - £24,000 FTE plus London weighting 

Closing date: 13th July 2017 

About the role: 

As the Project Coordinator you will work directly with people with lived experience of mental health problems in Camden, to coordinate a peer mentoring programme that improves the quality of life of those delivering and receiving support. The jobholder will be directly responsible for organising 200 peer mentor / mentee engagements over a year, developing and maintaining the service and supporting those involved. 

About you: 

To be considered for the role you must have experience of mental health and working or volunteering with people with mental ill health to improve their wellbeing. 

You must also have experience working or volunteering in the charity sector in a role that requires outstanding communication skills to achieve excellent results. 

You will have knowledge of current policy and practise within mental health services and knowledge of a range of services available to support those with ill mental health in Camden. 

You may have experience of the following: Project Worker, Charity, Advocate, Third Sector, Support Worker, Young People, Advocacy, Support Assistant, Social Care etc.
