National Trust Fundraiser
Third Solutions is proud to be working with national youth charity to recruit a National Trust Fundraiser. As well as managing your own Trust portfolio, you will provide trust and statutory fundraising support and advice to empower and add value to the charity's 400 unit's so that they can fundraise more effectively for themselves.
This national youth charity work across the UK with 14,000 young people between 10 and 18. The charity helps them see the world with confidence, gained through the challenge of and adventure. Their aim is to help more young people to see the future that they want - and make that future happen. Their work is delivered by 9,000 dedicated, trained volunteers in 400 communities across the UK.
Each unit is a charity in its own right and responsible for raising funds to help with the unit's ongoing running costs to more significant projects.
Based in the parent charity's London head office, you will spend two days a week fundraising to raise income for general programme work and organisational core costs via trusts and statutory organisations.
You will spend three days delivering trust and statutory fundraising support and advice, editing and writing applications on their behalf and delivering quarterly fundraising workshops which may require travel.
You will be required to build relationships with all six Area Business Managers, based at regional offices, who are the main contact between Head Office and the 400 units
Have a minimum of 2-3 years trust fundraising experience: including researching donors; writing applications and reports; managing donor relationships; applying for a range of items including equipment, salaries, projects and programmes.
Have experience working with funders and a range of organisations at a local and national level with experience, of either or all statutory, community and local corporate fundraising.
Can evidence an ability to secure income.
Confident in your fundraising ability to be able to deliver quarterly fundraising workshops to large groups of volunteers and more regular talks to smaller groups.
Able to build relationships with a range of stakeholders.
