We are currently working with a Secondary School in North East Birmingham close to the border with Solihull who are looking to appoint a University Graduate in English to support within the English Department for this coming academic year September 2017-July 2018.

Protocol Education are currently working with a Secondary School in North East Birmingham close to the border with Solihull who are looking to appoint an University Graduate with a degree in English with the capability of supporting the schools GCSE and A-Level pupils. The role is offered on a full time 5 days a week basis and will offer you the opportunity to gain paid work within a school for the forthcoming academic year. There may be the possibility of staying at the school for the academic year 2018/19 completing on the job teacher training.

The role will see the successful applicant taking on a supporting role within this Secondary School. Duties can vary from day to day, working with a variety of different year groups and ability levels. You could be doing general classroom support, working with small groups both within and outside the classroom. You could be working with students who have been identified as requiring intervention, supporting them in achieving their target grades, with the gifted and talented or when working with GCSE or A-Level pupils often with those on key grade borderlines. Other duties could see you delivering pre-planned lessons to pupils taking the lead role in class.

You will be required to work the full school day, starting no later than 8.30 and finishing around 4.00 unless you are supporting extra curricular activities after school.
