Localisations Services Project Manager


Up to £35K + Benefits

The company:

A leading company in the entertainment industry is looking for an enthusiastic localisations project manager to join their offices focused on games.

What you'll do:

  • Managing all localised content of the game and supporting materials, both audio and text, in up to 25 languages.
  • Managing and delivering translation requests from other departments both for games and for digital channels.
  • Working with Producers and Developers to capture project requirements and stakeholders' needs, and creating tailored localisation solutions for the assigned projects.
  • Working closely and effectively with Localisation vendors to ensure that all project requirements and SLAs are met, and that translators and recording studios have all the information and materials needed to deliver top quality localisation.
  • Creating, monitoring and maintaining detailed budgets of allocated titles throughout the localisation cycle.
  • Developing, adapting and maintaining adequate localisation schedules throughout the game development cycle.
  • Identifying potential project risks pertaining to localisation (eg technical, cultural) and working with relevant stakeholders to offer effective solutions for resolution or mitigation.
  • Providing regular reports to Developer, Producer and First Party QA to ensure all parties have visibility on the status of localisation.
  • Advising developers/producers on localisation best practices, and supporting with any queries or requirements pertaining to localisation (tools, processes, fonts, local/language-specific queries, documentation, etc).
  • Ensuring localisation tools are set-up and optimised for the needs of the developer and the project.
  • Organising castings with professional voice actors and talents across the globe and defining selection with local territories and production.
  • Collaborating closely with Production and First Party QA along the localisation pipeline to optimise recording and testing schedules and localisation workflows.
  • Willing to travel occasionally

What you'll need:

  • Experience in Games localisation, preferably in a project management or coordination role
  • Excellent working knowledge of MS Office, localisation tools and bug trackers is essential
  • Good knowledge of the audio process is highly desirable
  • Excellent communicator, both orally and written additional language to English an advantage
  • Ability to perform well under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Flexibility and willingness to go the extra mile to ensure developers get the best possible service
