Senior Econometrician required to work for a leading consultancy in London. This team focusses on the application of economics, statistics and econometrics across a wide range of sectors, but usually in relation to a commercial dispute, or a question of government policy, or economic regulation.

This team works closely with colleagues across several disciplines, to provide analysis in support of their projects - so you will be expected to be familiar with finance and valuations as well.

Required skills:

Interest, ability and experience in applying economics and econometrics to solve complex, unstructured problems;

Deep and intuitive understanding of the core principles in economics (especially microeconomics), statistics, and econometrics;

3 to 5 years of post-graduation professional experience, in a role that requires the direct application of economics or econometrics.

Examples include roles in economic consulting, as well as economic research and policy analysis for a financial institution, government department, industry regulator, regulated firm, think tank etc.;

Have an ACA, CFA, or other relevant qualification (preferably);Have a first (2.1 or better) or higher degree from a university with a reputation for excellence in the subject in question;

Be able to communicate effectively, including being able to draft detailed reports;

Have good project management skills with experience of managing people and individual work streams;

Be proficient in Stata or a similar statistical and econometric package (eViews, SAS, R etc). MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Knowledge of other software such as Microsoft VBA or Access is also desirable; and
