HR & Finance Officer

Working with an East London based secondary school we are recruiting to a full time all year-round Finance/HR Officer post to start ASAP.
Supporting the School Business Manager and SBM Assistant you will manage all HR and Personnel and provide school finance support in this varied post you will be required to provide advice and guidance in relation to HR policies, procedures, terms and conditions and carry out HR administration for recruitment, selection, appointments, resignations and changes in terms of employment.
You will be required to monitor and report staff absence, ensure return to work interviews take place, advertising vacancies, recruitment management and employment checks. You will be required to attend meetings as requested, take minutes and prepare papers, prepare job descriptions and person specifications, co-ordinate and issue application packs, send out offer letters and pre-employment checks and carry out references, DBS checks and medical checks.
You will be required to maintain SIMS admin records in relation to staff details and carry out statistical returns and maintain the single central record in relation to personnel data.
Finance tasks involve reconciliation of monthly payroll checks, process overtime and finance admin for payment of invoices, preparing cheques, issuing receipts and chasing and collecting debts.
This is a full time permanent post paying up to £25.5k dependent on experience.
It is essential you have experience of working within a school working within HR and have knowledge of school policies and procedures. Experience of SIMS is essential.
