We are currently working with a well known Film Studio to help them recruit a Business Analyst for their IT Division.

Position Summary

In order to give business stakeholders the best possible service, our client is looking to recruit an experienced Business Analyst to work alongside a Senior Analyst Developer. While this is primarily a business analyst role, the successful candidate will also be involved in application support, end-user and IT staff training, end-user and technical documentation and requirements gathering within the Division. The position will overall be part of the wider European IT Team.


  • Gain an in-depth understanding of all in-scope business applications (Salesforce, Hyperion, Oracle Sales Cloud, Siebel but not limited to these) for all vendors across all divisions
  • Close liaison with business users to ensure the business requirements for any application enhancements/modifications are properly understood, captured to the right level of detail and followed through to successful implementation
  • Assist in the specification, documentation and UAT of the above-mentioned enhancements to all in scope applications
  • Work with the appropriate development teams to ensure developments are delivered to business expectation
  • Provide training as and when required on any of the aforementioned applications to the business, travelling to European offices where required
  • Facilitate the proper use of the application by the business and reduce the number of support calls received by ensuring users are trained to a sufficient level to perform their job function
  • Document instructions & application/business procedures & processes for end-users and IT staff
  • Provide day to day support across all applications within scope
  • Receive and log all support calls received by telephone, email or in person and work to resolve them, escalating where necessary and ensuring proper follow-up procedures are maintained
  • Ensure all solutions are logged in the helpdesk system to support future issues and the development of the Helpdesk/Ops Team
  • Conduct or participate in meetings with the business as required to increase knowledge of business processes, resolve issues and improve the way IT works with the business
  • Deliver informative, well-organised presentations to the business or IT as and when required

Knowledge and Skills


  • Degree level or equivalent would be preferred
  • Graduate in Computing/IT or relevant experience in a business analyst role
  • Experience in Salesforce
  • Knowledge of standard IT practices related to business application development/implementation
  • Strong oral skills, including giving presentations and facilitating meetings with business users
  • Strong written skills, including development of project documentation and presentation materials required
  • Confident in dealing with all levels of business user up to executive level


  • Fluent in European Language(s)
  • Experience in Oracle Sales Cloud or equivalent SaaS solutions
  • Experience of SQL and ability to query databases
  • Experience in the media industry
  • Project management
