A new opportunity has become available for a Voids and Lettings Officer. The assignment is for an initial three months and is likely to be extended further for 3 months.

This role is office based you will be involved with the tenant side of the business, with responsibilities including:

* Variety of tenancy administration tasks, including working on various Lettings systems, in house systems, lots of customer contact over the phone, liaising with the housing teams, local authorities.
* Accountable for the timely and appropriate lettings of properties to minimise rent loss.
* Liaise with neighbourhood teams, repairs team and contractors to ensure that properties are ready for let within target timescale.
* Work with the development and housing teams, and local authorities to let all new homes promptly.
* Welcoming occupants at their new home and making sure they are happy and settled
* Answering questions related to Voids and Lettings
* General Admin duties within the office, such as receiving post and completing banking forms.
* Assisting the team officer with a data cleanse. Inputting data information, setting up new accounts and voiding duplicates.
* Candidate will also have to approach and communicate with new tenants, setting up meetings for the officer and engaging via telephone

You will have a strong background in Housing and ideally within lettings itself. You'll also possess good administration and customer service skills through their day to day roles. You will be working closely with a data system used specifically with the organisation but will be given in depth training on the system before having to use it.

They are looking for a candidate who:

* Has a warm and friendly personality, and can present an excellent impression of the company
* Will have to have good attention to details, with prior experience working with systems/Microsoft Office.
* Ability to process and input data accurately after given instruction
* Good communication via telephone and email with tenants regarding status updates and meetings etc

You should match the following criteria:

* Excellent I.T. skills, particularly with the Microsoft package Excel.
* Previous Voids and Lettings experience (minimum 12 months)
* Customer Service experience
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills (Ability to liaise with customers and Key Partners)
* Understanding of Choice Based Letting systems, Common Housing Registers and the use of Local Lettings Plans.
* Knowledge of housing legislation, regulation, best practice and current issues relevant to the post.
* Experience in the social housing sector
* Dealing with difficult situation and finding solutions to the problem.
