What will the role involve?

You will be a home based field worker with a caseload of learners under your guidance. You’ll manage your own diary and will work a 37.5 hour week. You will visit care homes within your region and work with the on-site learners. Utilising your experience you will inspire, train and support learners to successfully complete their apprenticeship in the workplace, through face to face discussions, remote assessments, use of internet based portfolios, and web based Maths and English learning solutions.

You’ll tailor and devise individual learning plans, identify any additional learning needs, and provide the learner with all relevant information, guidance and resources to ensure their progress is kept on track.

Have you got what it takes?

To be successful as a Health & Social Care Trainer Assessor at learndirect you must be approachable, self-motivated and possess high levels of empathy. You must be an excellent negotiator and able to use your initiative to solve problems, often involving different stakeholders. We are looking for people who have worked in the Care Sector or have previous assessor experience.

You should have relevant and recent sector experience, at team leader level or above and have experience of providing advice and information ideally in a training environment. You will need to have excellent communication skills, both when dealing with our on-site apprentices and the relevant stakeholders they report in to. You must be professional and have the ability to motivate and encourage people at all levels. You will need to demonstrate a passion for what you do along with lots of energy, enthusiasm, and the willingness to travel as required. A driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential.
