Our Client, a FTSE 250 listed company within the Finance Sector, are currently seeking an Operations Manager to join their team on a full time permanent basis. The Operations Manager will be responsible for all aspects of Operational delivery within the York Branch. The role will involve developing and implementing a strategic business plan and effectively driving it forward to ensure the branch is achieving its full potential.
The ideal candidate will be highly self-motivated with strong organisational, people management and planning skills. Furthermore, they will possess strong communication skills and efficiently support and develop the team in order to ensure a high-quality service is being provided.

Duties and Responsibilities include:
• Creating, implementing and overseeing a strategic branch business plan to ensure the business continues to grow successfully
• Managing and developing a team of branch administrators
• Working in unison with Sales teams to achieve shared objectives and promote a vested interest in new business
• Demonstrating effective time management and seeking to improve processes where necessary
• Ensuring the team are operating efficiently and within company guidelines
• Building positive working relationships and coaching the team to deliver an outstanding level of service
• Working closely with the Risk and Compliance teams to implement best practice and mitigate risk
• Assessing and identifying risks and ensuring the correct procedures are being followed
• Leading and participating in weekly meetings with Sales Managers
• Ensuring all training and development is used effectively and development strategies are put in place

Skills and experience:
• Experience of building, developing and leading high performing customer service teams
• A behavioural management style
• Ability to implement and drive business strategy
• Proven experience of working in unison with Sales teams/departments to achieve shared objectives
• Proven experience of proving excellent service delivery to a client base
• A confident decision maker
• Ability to analyse and interpret MI at a strategic level
• Proven ability to drive performance improvement
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
• Knowledge of FCA requirements in areas such as compliance, risk and credit
• Educated to degree level or equivalent ideal
