As an Account Manager in the Solutions Team at of this rapidly growing IT company, the successful applicant will be responsible for understanding, anticipating and delivering the IT needs of an established commercial client base.
You will need to quickly build an understanding of company products and services and how these relate to each other, as well as of your multi sector clients, all of whom will be relying on you and your colleagues to support and deliver their IT needs.
The primary focus of the role is the daily, weekly and monthly management of the company's tier one clients to service their needs and to be the primary contact for the client outside of support enquiries.
The role includes dealing with general sales enquiries, preparationand administration of small business proposals, processing orders and liaising with other team members and departments to ensure all requirements are carried-out correctly. Post-delivery, you will be liaising with clients to check that they are satisfied with the completed solution and report back internally.
Also, you will be driving ICT strategy when requested, planning and holding ICT meetings, ICT financial forecasting, working as a primary interface between departments and the client to ensure the client is supported correctly and any queries or issues are addressed.
The role also involves engaging with marketing activities (no cold calling), including organising and attending marketing events, networking events, client lunches and client evenings either on company premises or externally hosted, updating product information and literature, collating data for marketing initiatives and other activities to help drive sales forward.
Core hours are likely to be 08:50 - 17.40 Monday to Friday, although flexibility is required as the successful applicant is likely to be out of the office 2-3 days a week visiting both existing and potential clients throughout the UK. This may require an average of 1 night away each week. The role may on occasion also require some evening and weekend working.
Due to the travel requirements of the role a current full driving licence is also essential.
Applicants must have prior Account Management experience in either a B2B or B2C environment and an interest in technology.
