JOB TITLE:

Coverholder and TPA Assistant Auditor

Initially assisting with completion of audits whilst directly supervised but moving to partial and fully independent completion following training and experience.

Completion of audits involves a detailed, structured assessment of delegated authority holders, company structure, compliance obligations, operations, underwriting processes, claims handling processes, banking and reporting. Other key topics include conduct risk, online binding and insurance documentation quality.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

To assist in the completion of audits to the specification set by the client.

To finalise reports to the required standard and within the time-scales required by the client.

ESSENTIAL:

Experience of placing and or administering of insurances

Excellent communication and organisation skills.

KEY SKILLS:

Good numeracy and English language skills (spoken and written)

Ability to work to a high standard in a dynamic environment and to deliver against deadlines.

OTHER ATTRIBUTES:

Outgoing and inquisitive nature

Report writing experience preferred

Good knowledge of at least one broker IT system preferred.

Operation of delegated authorities not essential but preferred.

Other language skills would be an advantage

Must hold full UK car driving licence.

LOCATION:

Although offices are retained in a major town in Essex, the role will involve significant travel to a very wide variety of locations within the UK. Travel is an integral part of this role and staying away from home is commonplace, usually for 2-3 days at a time. It may be necessary to stay away for consecutive weeks and therefore those with regular commitments outside of work (for example rugby coaching each Wednesday evening) will not be suitable.

The role could also include some overseas travel, primarily to Western Europe although this is not anticipated until significant experience has been gained.

The candidate must also be prepared to travel on Sunday afternoons/evenings although consecutive travel on this day is avoided as far as possible.

All agreed travel costs will be met and the candidate may be granted use of a pool car subject to insurance limitations and vehicle availability.

NOTE:

Salary is negotiable, depending on experience and suitability.
