Salary - £ 40,000 - £ 50,000 + Excellent Benefits

Due to continued growth, they are seeking to recruit a Scum Master to join a busy and vibrant development team of designers and developers based in Whitstable.

As a Scrum Master you will facilitate software delivery and drive quality across multi-disciplinary teams using appropriate agile based methodologies and ceremonies. Unblock, coach, mentor and help teams to be accountable for themselves and for the commitments they make, with a focus on continual improvement. Undertake Team Leader duties such as regular one to one's and appraisals, ensuring all team members are meeting their objectives.

Responsibilities:
·Working with team members to apply Agile (e.g. Scrum, Kanban) values, principles and practices
·Planning and leading scrum meetings e.g. sprint planning, retrospectives, daily stand-ups, reviews
·Protecting the team and creating an environment where they can focus on their goals
·Working closely with the team to remove impediments as well as coaching them in preventing issues from occurring on a continual basis
·Measuring and improving team velocity
·Working closely with Product Owners to prioritise the backlog and ensure the stories within it are written to great standards
·Monitoring the work of all team members and assisting, where applicable, in their training and development
·Interacting with technical and business stakeholders to present key design considerations in a digestible format that relate to the overarching non-technical goals
·Overseeing the delivery of solutions such that they are fit for purpose and have the minimum level of complexity to meet business objectives
·Facilitating workshop type discussions between many business stakeholders with sometimes conflicting requirements and perspectives.
·Co-ordinating testing activities as part of the core delivery and ensuring testing has the appropriate input into planning meetings
·Responsibility for producing succinct and appropriate project reporting including burn-down / burn-up etc. and input into the PMO
·Conducting 121's and appraisals using the Groups performance management framework and taking the appropriate action on over and under performance, where necessary

Skill Requirements:
·Experienced Scrum Master, preferably with certification
·Technical background highly desirable
·Solid and proven experience of Agile frameworks e.g. Scrum, Kanban
·Previous Team Leader experience desirable
·Financial Services experience or business knowledge of the Insurance Sector (desirable)
·Experience using Team Foundation Server or equivalent products
·Solid understanding of development processes, the Software Development Lifecycle and User Story creation
