Location: South West London

Automotive/Motor Trade Workshop Controller required with at least 3 years’ recent experience as a Workshop Controller for our client a very busy Prestige Car Main Dealership based in the South West London area working in a pressurised environment.

Workshop Controller with a minimum of three-four years recent experience as a Workshop Controller with experience of running a busy 12 bay workshop and to delegate workloads to 9 technicians and three apprentices. You will be strong minded experienced Workshop Controller with the ability to demonstrate drive and ambition whilst thinking on your feet!!!

Through effective management you will ensure that service and repair work is completed to time and quality standards and all invoice / claim documents are complete and accurate. Managing customer expectations, job profitability and workshop productivity targets will be a daily focus to ensure that workshop profitability is optimised.

The ideal Workshop Controller candidate will ideally have worked previously in a workshop controller position or a Service Team Manager for a Car Main Dealer and have good organisational/management skills as well as having a “hands on” approach. You must also have the ability to motivate and train staff whilst maintaining targets and deadlines.

Workshop Controller Responsibilities include:

- Responsible for the efficient running of the workshop
- Delegating workloads to Technicians and increasing productivity
- Liaising with Service Department to keep them informed of progress and advising on any additional work that needs carrying out
- Planning and organising hours to sell and drive labour sales
- Delegating workloads to productive staff in a workshop
- Gaining authorisation from customers to carry out additional work.
