Electrical / Electronics Engineer, Tech Start-up, Oxford, £40k - £45k:

An Oxford University spin out technical start up is looking to recruit a talented Electrical / Electronics Engineer to join their team. The Electrical / Electronics Engineer will identify, design and assemble the necessary electronic elements to their ground breaking product. This role is an exciting opportunity to join a company with big ambitions backed by strong academic expertise and financial investment. You will be working directly with their technical lead, academic advisors and collaborate with their growing engineering team.

* Developing and performing versatile electrical measurements.
* Developing test set-ups for our technology and products.
* Build our internal expertise and contribute to the development of our electronics lab.
* Coordination and direction of specific subprojects undertaken by external consultants.
* Keeping a thorough log of activities and tests.

The successful Electrical / Electronics Engineer will need the following experience and skills:

* Hold a degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering or Physics with suitable experience.
* Experience of developing power systems.
* Hands-on experience in developing and running electronic / electrical test set-ups.
* Understanding of electronic engineering and manufacturing standards (e.g. EMC / EMI / IEEE).
* Be proficient in the use of basic and advanced test hardware including:

* Oscilloscopes for EMC measurements,
* Vector network analysers for RF measurements, and Anechoic test environments.

* Proficiency in the use of software tools including:

* Micro-controller programming (ARM core preferred)
* PCB design (we use GEDA currently), and
* Electronics simulation packages (SPICE).
