We are recruiting for a Section Engineer on a freelance basis for one of the most high profile infrastructure projects currently in the South West. This contract has a number of works but the Section Engineer for this role will be working on the sections of a new nuclear energy build including earthworks, civil & structural engineering works and new road construction. This is an ideal opportunity for a Site Engineer to gain valuable experience on a major civils project.
The project is being managed by two top tier contractors who are working in partnership so this is a prime opportunity for you to work with two established international companies who span multiple sectors including rail, power, water, building and natural resources. Not only are they working on this prestigious project but also have a number of projects throughout the UK which will also give you scope for progression.
For this ongoing contract, your key responsibilities and duties will include:
*Assist the Section Engineer within the structures team
*Amending and writing method statements and risk assessments
*Carrying out quality inspections
*Produce ITPs and as builds -Setting out / Surveying
*Planning weekly and monthly programmes

The successful candidate will gain valuable skills and experience working for a leading UK contractor on a large infrastructure project.
To be considered for this role, you will need to demonstrate:
*Degree, Bachelors, MSc or HND in Civil Engineering
*Experience of working in a main contractor environment
*Hold a valid CSCS certification
