BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER (Architect / Specifier sector)

Salary:£33,300 per annum + Bonus (pending successful completion of probationary period)

Creatif designs, manufactures and installs moving walls and acoustic comfort products. We help design & build companies, architects, interior designers, commercial designers, space planners and experts in workspace. We help by providing planning and design input, visualisation, drawings, images and technical assistance whenever and wherever it is needed.


  • Identifying new prospects in the Architect & Specifier sector, establishing contact, building rapport and relationships.
  • Securing appointments for External Business Development Manager with Architects and Specifiers and Main Contractors. 
  • Support external business development manager with administrations, following up meetings, internal liaisons, CRM management
  • Securing appointments for the Sales team upon specific request.
  • Generating leads from use of ABI and other lead source sites – following the leads up, profiling and qualifying them
  • Managing customer pipeline on gold / platinum main contractor accounts to point of sale closing
  • Liaising with sales team, account managers and business developer on product range to be marketed and sold
  • Actively contributing to business development initiatives and setting of sales targets and contribution margins on sales
  • Liaison with estimating team, product development team and design manager during business development and sales processes
  • Obtaining feedback on customer service and developing effective solutions and best practice for sales and BD teams
  • Write specifications for Architects / Designers to suit their unique design and product needs
  • Make presentations to designers / architects on company products and inform them on acoustics and subsequent treatments
  • Offer advice on product solutions to architects / designers on acoustic treatment and space partitioning
  • Promote new products, services and PR initiatives
  • Recruitment and training of junior sales staff should the need arise
  • Works together with sales manager as well as senior management and director towards preparing business development proposals and seminars, public relations endeavours, sales and marketing strategies as well as promotional activities such as Clerkenwell Design Week and Creatif Talk



Candidate requirements:

  • Proven track record in business development with moving walls / acoustic treatment in the UK industry
  • Graduate degree in architecture as well as graduate degree in business management
  • Ideally some exposure working in the architect and specifier sector as a business developer
  • B2B sales experience
  • Experience in telesales
  • Experience making presentations to architects / designers (studio sessions)
  • Experience liaising and maintaining relationship with main contractors
  • Experience working with ABI leads – following, profiling and qualifying them
  • Ability to analyse and understand architectural design and technical drawings
  • Experience working with complex CRM systems
  • Experience developing relationships with designers and contractors from initial contact to point of sale
  • Experience writing specifications
  • Proven experience managing business sales pipelines and working to sales and business development targets(KPI)
  • Clean Drivers Licence valid for use in the UK
  • Competency and diligence in personal time planning, reporting, task management and teammanship
  • Ability to use initiative to improve own performance and team performance


£33,300 + Bonus (applicable after successful completion of probation)
