This is a residential home for up to fourteen people of either gender aged between 18 and 74 years with moderate to severe learning disabilities and who may also have physical disabilities, sensory impairment or specific health needs. The home seeks to provide long-term care and support with maximum independence.
You will be a patient and caring individual who is able to support people with complex needs and behaviours that can challenge. Supporting our service users in their day to day activities, you will engage in a variety of household and recreational activities, including meals out, family contact, shopping and escorting on holidays. You will also support with personal care.
Experience in supporting people with learning disabilities would be an advantage, but is not essential, as full training will be given. We seek enthusiastic team players, keen to work in a person centred service where your skills and attributes will be valued.
The successful candidate will be required to work flexibly to meet the needs of our customers and you will need to be willing to work shifts which might include weekends, evenings, sleep ins and Bank Holidays.
40 hours per week and you will need to be prepared to work shifts, which will include daytime, weekends, evenings and bank holidays. A driving licence would be an advantage but not essential.
