Avidity Training is an Apprenticeship Training Provider based in the West Midlands and part of a large national recruitment group. Avidity and the wider group are going through an exciting period of growth and, as such, an opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Manager to lead the sales and employer engagement function.

The role involves promoting apprenticeships to new employers in order to secure apprenticeship vacancies and training opportunities. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new employer relationships and account managing existing ones.

This will involve sales and engagement activity that will include cold calling, conducting face to face meetings, networking and completing employer sigh ups and workplace suitability checks. It will also involve growing and managing the Commercial function within Avidity and growing the business.

The successful candidate may come from a recruitment, sales or training background but must have excellent rapport building and relationship management skills, and be a 'completer-finisher’. The successful candidate may have previous sales management experience or be a high performer looking to step up into a management role. Experience of working to and achieving targets is essential as this is a fast paced target orientated, and hands on, role. Knowledge of Apprenticeships including the Levy, funding and eligibility rules and experience of conducting workplace suitability checks is preferable. Successful candidates will have experience of and a proven track record in developing relationships with large clients and the ability to influence at decision maker level. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, as is a 'can do’ and professional attitude to work. This is a varied and exciting role with scope for development for the right candidate.

This role is based in the Walsall, West Midlands but will involve travel in order to attend meetings with clients. The salary is £27,000 - £35,000 per annum plus performance related pay, attractive benefits package and 20 days holiday plus bank holidays.
