We are expanding our Healthcare Team at HMP Wormwood Scrubs and you could be our next team member!

Are you about to qualify as a Pharmacy Technician, have you recently qualified as a Pharmacy Technician, been working as one for a while and looking to move into Health in Justice?

We are looking for qualified Dispensing Pharmacy Technicians to join our team, as we develop and implement new ways of working at the prison.

We have permanent 1xfull time(37.5 hours per week) and 1xpart time (25 hours per week) role available, with flexible hours, Monday to Friday (with possibility of overtime at weekends), from 0730 to 1800.

Salary for this role is anything between £22,000 - £26,000 per annum (pro rata for part time) depending on the experience.

As a Dispensing Pharmacy Technician, you will be an integrated member of the pharmacy team, working within the Primary Care or IDTS service, assisting with the dispensing of medications, the provision and delivery of an integrated, safe, legal, high quality prison pharmaceutical service based on National policies supported with local standard operating protocols, taking into consideration, at all times, the need to maintain a high level of security.

You will be required to support the delivery of Pharmacy Services which will be part be of a comprehensive healthcare package based on the prison service’s needs, which will include delivering pharmacy led wing based activities such as smoking cessation and patient education and vaccinations clinics. You may also have other ideas and we welcome you input and suggestions to grow our service

•NVQ level 3, BTEC or equivalent
•Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council
•Relevant post qualifying experience working within a pharmacy environment.
•Evidence of continuing professional development
