Assistant Project Manager - Government Agency

A government-owned company responsible for operating, maintaining and improving England's motorways and major A roads is looking to recruit a number of Assistant Project Managers to support in the successful delivery of a number of projects to ensure that they meet key strategic KPI's to include efficiency, time and customer impact targets at both pre-construction and construction stage.
Your new role
The postholder will be expected to: support the feasibility, design and assessment work for proposed projects; support in the day to day delivery of construction phase projects; develop a business or value management case for new projects; plan and define project steps, scope project risks and issues, establish plans, review milestones and priorities; generate solutions to overcome project obstacles and mitigate risk; develop, update, monitor and report against detailed project plans identifying resource requirements and interdependencies.
What you'll need to succeed
Applicants are expected to have proven experience of project management in a complex environment (this might include facilities management or a technical administration background). You must have experience of working with multiple stakeholders and good influencing and communication skills. Applicants with a recognised project management qualification will be favoured.
What you'll get in return
