Senior Business Development Manager

Position: Senior Business Development Manager 
Location: Nationwide- homeworking option. 
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent 
Salary: £40,000 to £50,000 (uncapped OTE) dependent on skills and experience

About the Role: 

They are looking for a Business Development Manager who has the ability, self-motivation and enthusiasm to deliver. This is an exciting role with our client and you will be given the opportunity to develop your skills and progress your role in the company by focussing on a rapidly growing Microsoft market. 

As a self-starter with a ‘can do’ attitude you will be targeted to proactively identify and generate new business opportunities. They are looking for a highly charismatic individual to promote the company’s image in the marketplace, to initiate and build direct contacts at all levels within organisations and help convert these opportunities in to sales. 

A key part of the role is to make contact with prospects, recognise opportunities, be able to describe and evangelise their services and discuss how these services would be applied in business as well as the associated benefits. The role will require the ability to contribute to, and in most cases take responsibility for, the entire sales life cycle from initiation to closing and in some cases, subsequent account management. The Business Development Manager will also contribute to a wide range of marketing activities, including delivering presentations and assisting with all relevant administration as required. 

Responsibilities: 

-Optimise business growth through identifying new markets and business opportunities. 
-Have a good understanding of a prospect’s business functions and requirements. 
-Maintain and develop existing customer business through appropriate prospecting and business development methods. 
-Take responsibility for the entire sales cycle for allocated leads and assist with others as required. 
-Ability to communicate complex solutions in an appropriate manner to both business and IT professionals (Microsoft Dynamics 365/CRM, SharePoint and Dynamics GP). 
-Advocate the company and its services. 
-Attend and present at client meetings to aid business development. 
-Partnership management with key suppliers as required. 
-Ability to contribute and write proposals and tenders. 
-Attend relevant seminars and networking events to develop business relationships. 
-Manage personal time and productivity. 
-Assist with all marketing efforts as required. 
-Help with relevant sales and marketing administrative duties, including the maintenance of the CRM system. 

About you: 

They are looking for someone with extensive professional, commercial experience in a business to business environment. You must possess a full UK driving licence and have suitable transport, in addition they are looking for someone who: 

-Has proven track record in developing exceptional relationships within a business to business environment, with a specific emphasis on IT solutions 
-Can demonstrate an understanding of relevant sales processes and how they have supported new business wins 
- Has a consultative sales experience; gathering and understanding business needs and recommending and advocating the right technical solution to benefit their clients business 
-Has exceptional interpersonal skills to establish good working relationships with colleagues and clients 
-Has a proven ability in engaging at a senior level with both customers and prospects 
-Has a proven ability to produce engaging, accurate proposals 
-Possesses a broad understanding and interest in IT solutions would be highly beneficial. 
-Has high level business/IT contacts. 
-Is prepared to trave (the role requires national travel and they estimate this to be at least 25% of your working time.
