An Assistant Accountant is required to join a continuously growing Group based in Liverpool. Reporting to the Group Finance Manager, your role will cover the following;

- Production of consolidation UK weekly treasury reporting, ensuring reporting is accurate and timely.

- Preparation of head office weekly bank reconciliations and treasury reporting

- Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliation to insure accuracy and integrity of the balance sheet

- Completion of National Statistics returns to the Office of National Statistics which are required at least on a monthly basis

- Assistance with the head office Purchase Ledger, including raising payments, posting invoices, obtaining authorisation from the relevant approver, and following up supplier queries on a timely basis

- Responsible for the reconciliations of intercompany and intracompany accounts and confirmations

- Responsible for the preparation of the monthly management accounts and annual reporting requirements to set deadlines for various Head Office entities

- Assist in the preparation of year-end IFRS packs, audit pack and assist with any statutory obligations

- Resolution of day to day queries from internal and external stakeholders

- Assistance with other ad hoc pieces of work such as the preparation of statutory accounts

- Any other duties as may be required

 Person Specification:

- Desire to, or already commenced obtaining accountancy qualifications (AAT, CIMA, ACCA).

- Strong desire to learn and improve processes.

- Ability to work well under pressure and meet reporting deadlines.

- Strong communication skills, analytical skills and organisational skills.

- You will be a good team player with the skills to identify, develop and implement new working practices and systems.

- Ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders at all levels within the business.

- Keen eye for detail and provide accurate information

- Good IT skills (Excel (lookups, sumifs, pivot tables), Outlook, Word, Access), or aptitude to learn if not already known
