My Business and professional services client are a huge organisation that operate with the Social Care sector on a worldwide basis. They have a specific business unit based in Chelmsford that is in need of a Payroll Specialist to join them on an interim basis.

Client Details

Based in Chelmsford, you'll be working within a small localised finance team that operates in conjunction with a centralised function. The task at hand for you will be rolling out one of a number of payroll systems depending on your professional recommendation & ensuring that the system and processes are more accurate and streamlined in the future.


Some of the key duties of the payroll specialist will be

  • Identification of payroll issues & flaws
  • Dealing with queries and suggesting improvements
  • Analysis of several payroll systems within the group
  • Recommending a payroll system that will be most useful to the specific business unit
  • Rolling out the payroll system within the business unit
  • Training more junior members of staff on the system


The successful Payroll Specialist

  • Will be available at short notice
  • An expert where payroll in concerned
  • Comfortable with payroll systems (Roll outs & Implementation)
  • Able to commit, to a 6 month project
  • Able to commute to Chelmsford
