Briggs Equipment are the UK sole distributor for Hyster and Yale forklift trucks and a leading national distributor of materials handling equipment

Here at Briggs we have an exciting new vacancy for a multi skilled engineer to join our team covering around Crawley.

We are keen to see CV’s of individuals who have experience within one of the following sectors;

Forklift trucks, plant machinery, agricultural machinery, HGV's, passenger carrying vehicles or related machinery.

Our Field Service engineers are responsible for;

  • The service and maintenance of diesel, LPG and electrical materials handling equipment

  • Fault finding, planned preventative maintenance and pre delivery inspection of forklift trucks

  • Ensuring customer service is kept to a high level and any queries are addressed

  • Adhering to safety guidelines set and all policies set out by customers and Briggs Equipment

  • Complete job activity electronically and ensure all required parts to complete tasks are ordered

  • Ensuring the company vehicle is maintained to a high standard and correctly stocked

  • Ensuring customer relationship are maintained and developed through high standards of service

  • Call out Rota as required

    Our Field Service Engineer will demonstrate;

  • Relevant technical qualification

  • Previous experience within a similar role

  • Good understanding of hydraulic, mechanical and electrical principals

  • The ability to work independently and under pressure

  • The ability to manage and prioritise workload

  • Understanding customer needs

    Our Field Service Engineers command;

  • A base salary from £24,670 to £27,929pa based on a 40 hour working week

  • Overtime is payable at X 1.5 Monday - Saturday and x 2 at weekends

  • Vehicle is available for private use if desired (tax to be paid)
