Purchase Ledger Clerk
Newport


Reporting into the Financial Controller of this successful organisation, the main purpose of the role is to prepare and to assist with the accurate preparation of the purchase ledger for the Group.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with completing the daily collection envelopes
  • Assist Accounts Manager with bank reconciliation
  • Assist with manual and online payments including cheques and Bacs
  • Enter and code purchase invoices
  • Deal with supplier queries and statements
  • Assist with incoming telephone calls as and when required


Person Specification

  • At least 2 year experience in purchase ledger
  • Sage line 500 experience preferable but other Sage/accounts packages experience will be considered
  • Excel, Word and used various accounts packages
