OPERATIONAL BUYER - POOLE - PERMANENT - SALARY CIRCA £27K-£30K PLUS BENEFITS
A Global Engineering Company are currently recruiting for an Operational Buyer to be based at their site in Poole, on a permanent basis.
The Operational Buyer will be responsible for assisting the supply chain function ensuring the supply of goods are in line with all business strategies and operational requirements with regards to costing, quality and agreed SLA's. You will action Quality Rejects and Quality Investigation Reports by liaising with suppliers and the goods inwards team.
The Operational Buyer will request quotations to investigate cost and availability of materials as well as request order confirmation from suppliers to ensure these meet the requirements and agreed terms. You will support with cost reduction initiatives and also with outsourcing and sub-contracting. The Operational Buyer will be responsible for communicating progress and escalate recurring issues to the Purchasing Manager as well support other team members with escalations and progressing issues with suppliers.
To be considered for the role you will have a Manufacturing / Engineering background and have a minimum of 2 years purchasing experience within a Manufacturing / Engineering Environment. You will have an excellent working knowledge of SAP and good PC skills to include all Microsoft packages as well as a good communicator and strong organisational skills.
The salary offered for this role will be circa £27K to £30K (DoE), plus up to 8% company bonus, 25 days holiday, Pension and Private Healthcare.
