Senior QA Engineer - Automation - Mobile Apps - London - To £60k plus fantastic benefits

Brilliant opportunity for an experienced Automation QA Engineer to join a very successful and fast growing international consumer brand based in Central London.

You will join a fun and dynamic Agile development team, in a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and contribution from everyone. You will take a lead role in testing brand new international native iOS app products, as well as their responsive web applications. The company are investing millions of pounds in the technology team, so now is a superb time to join them.

Experience & Skills required:

  • 4 years+ experience within QA / Testing
  • Skills with Object Orientated programming language eg: Java, C#, etc
  • Automation tools experience, ideally using Ruby, or Cucumber, Calabash, Jenkins
  • Web UI/API test automation frameworks and understanding of best practice (including incorporating these within CI/CD pipeline)
  • Working knowledge of test automation pyramid
  • Ability to write basic SQL Queries
  • Hands on experience working in an agile development team
  • Understanding of BDD
  • Understanding of Non-functional testing including performance/load testing

Nice to have:

  • Commercial experience of Non-functional testing including performance/load testing
  • Any experience with Python
  • Commercial experience of BDD
  • Experience testing Micro services
  • Experience with testing iOS Mobile Apps
  • Experience testing products using NoSQL
  • Knowledge of JavaScript and nodeJS
  • Experience of Amazon Web Services / AWS infrastructure

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with product owners and the team within an agile environment
  • Work closely with your product owners and the team to identify acceptance criteria
  • Advocate of test automation and achieving appropriate level of test coverage
  • Work as a quality coach within the team
  • Contribute to wider business goals for ensuring availability, security, and scalability of its platforms
  • Be actively involved in refinement and planning sessions
  • Collaborate with other developers and ensure that appropriate unit and integration test coverage is achieved
  • Contributing to improvements to Continuous Integration/Continuous delivery Pipeline
