Field auditor/Audit senior - Top 15 international firm - Grant auditing with international travel
Your new company
A Top 15 international firm of Chartered Accountants and business advisers are looking for a new field auditor to join their Not For Profit team. Based in London the firm delivers accountancy services and advice to a broad range of business, corporate, Not For Profit, and private clients.
Your new role
You will be working within the not-for-profit department specifically the grant auditing team. You will be auditing grants awarded to organisations by the European Commission, operating in the field of humanitarian aid and civil protection. You will be required to partake in field audit trips throughout the year ranging from 2 weeks to 5 weeks anywhere across the world. You will work with the rest of the audit team to ensure the batches/HQ audits are thoroughly planned and executed to ensure each audit is completed within the ECHO deadline and to ensure the teams safety and security during the field trips. You will report directly to the audit assistant manager and present a fully drafted audit report along with complete working papers. The HQ audit work is carried out at the organisation's European HQ office and typically covers between 1 and 12 completed projects implemented by that organisation.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role you will have an ACA or ACCA qualification, or have an internal audit qualification. You will have a proven track record of completing an external audit from planning through to completion, along with excellent report writing and communication skills. You will need to be fluent in English and French due to the nature of the work. You need to have the ability of working under pressure and in challenging environments and have the ability to prioritise projects to ensure deadlines are met. You will need to demonstrate your leadership skills on a daily basis, to mentor and support junior staff and to ensure efficiency in challenging environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for the not for profit sector and demonstrate their desire to make a difference.
