Training Manager

Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week, Mon-Fri 9am - 5pm
Salary: £25,000 + Bonus + Mileage Allowance + Laptop + Phone
Location: Based in Newcastle Office - must be willing to travel on occasion to meet the needs of the business.

Function: Responsible for the delivery team, tutoring, supporting and monitoring learners on pre-employment training programmes across Customer Service, Hospitality, Aviation and Contact Centre industries. To deliver a range of workshops covering CV writing, interview skills and job preparation to a diverse range of learners.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the planning and design of pre-employment programmes for employer and school programmes
  • Line Manager responsibilities and recruitment of new staff within training the team
  • Deliver bespoke sector-based skills workshops
  • Assess learner’s knowledge and collect portfolio of evidence for accreditation
  • Curriculum planning and resource management
  • Be responsible for excellent teaching, assessment and review practices
  • Drive compliance and continuous improvement through observation activities
  • Support Recruitment Manager in marketing and recruitment activities related to pre-employment training programmes
  • Maintain and update learner records to the required standard
  • Responsible for any other duties as required in order to effectively carry out the role

Essential Skills/Experience

  • Experience of preparing and delivering learning courses
  • Assessor (A1) or Verifier (V1) or Level 3 Award in Assessing Vocational Achievement
  • Experience of and comfortable with delivering to groups of approx. 15
  • Relevant teaching qualification; PTLLS / CTLLS / DTLLS / Cert Ed / PGCE
  • Demonstrate the ability to work towards awarding body/OFSTED standards
  • Driving License and access to own vehicle

  • Knowledge and experience of Matrix Quality Standard
  • Experience of welfare to work sector
