IT Support Analyst, Newcastle upon Tyne
Salary: £18,000 - £20,000

Our client is a family business who have grown into a national wholesalers with branches all over the UK. Due to this growth and expansion they're looking to increase their windows based helpdesk support team. The successful candidate will be supporting over 100 users across 11 sites over the UK. You will develop skills in networking, infrastructure, backup software, document management software, VMware and SQL.

The company has a small IT team and are looking for a professional, enthusiastic candidate with previous experience in an IT support role. The successful applicant will have a broad knowledge of IT, networking, server hardware and software. They must be able to work well within a team, communicate effectively with end users and at board level, and be self-motivated enough to manage their own workload.

- Provide first-line technical support as required to all company employees
- Troubleshoot problems and implement suitable solutions
- Liaise with the IT manager and seek additional guidance and advice as necessary
- Carry out routine maintenance and upgrades as directed
- Administer Microsoft Windows domain, Google Apps and company website
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, printing and network connectivity faults
- Install and configure servers, PCs, laptops, printers, mobiles (iOS, Android) and network equipment

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with excellent telephone manner
- Excellent problem-solving, organisational and analytical skills
- Ability to communicate clearly and work effectively as part of a team or independently
- Adaptable learner, enthusiastic, focus driven and able to work under pressure
- A solid understanding of Windows Server administration
- Linux/Unix system administration skills

Salary circa £18,000 - £20,000
