A global brand with over 40 years specialising in Bath and Body care, Fragrances and even fine foods (confectionery and preserves - teas and jams) are expanding. They already have 500 stores worldwide and are at a time of great growth and restructure so it is a very exciting time to join the brand.

This position will be responsible for the Sales Ledger (Overseas) Ltd and Finance Assist for the German Finance Team. This role will work in collaboration with the Finance Manager, Accounts Receivable Manager and Finance Analyst.

Main Sales Ledger Responsibilities:

*Daily allocation of customer receipts
*Credit Control - Weekly chasing of customer receipts (telephone and email)
*Weekly customer account reconciliations
*Cheque deposits as and when required
*Monthly distribution of customer statements (post / email)
*Processing customer refunds according to the company policy as and when required
*Investigate / resolve queries
*Remittance filing
*Daily monitoring of the Accounts Receivable email account
*Ownership of the debit note tracker

Main European Assistant Responsibilities:

*Recording all German invoices in SAP on a daily / weekly basis
*Arranging prompt payment of all Germany invoices on a weekly basis
*Daily allocation of Germany customer receipts
*Chasing German customers as and when necessary
*Weekly bank reconciliations
*Posting month end journals
*Preparing month end prepayments & accruals
*Investigate / resolve queries
*Ad hoc reporting requirements

*Fluent in German and English (written and spoken)
*Proactive, organised and a team player
*Enthusiastic, self-confident and self-motivated
*Pays close attention to detail, accuracy and is very analytical
*Willing to adapt and take on new challenges & driven to continually improve controls and processes
*Able to handle multiple demands and competing priorities successful
*Previous experience in a similar role would be a distinct advantage
*SAP Business One experience desirable but NOT essential
*Previous experience working within retail is desirable but NOT essential
