AAT Qualified / Part Qualified Accounts Assistant - Top 20 firm
Are you a recently or soon to be qualified AAT, or a junior level ACCA with between 12 and 36 months of experience from a practice background looking to upgrade to a Top 20 London based practice but still work in a mixed, general practice role? Are you looking to get a large firm name on your CV, work in a friendly office and also receive study support for your remaining exams AAT or ACCA exams? Would you like the opportunity to work with a mixture of large businesses, but also smaller SME clients from a wide range of sectors, with client turnovers ranging from £100k up to £15m? If so, this growing international Top 20 accountancy practice firm based in a prime location in the West End of Central London is looking to recruit a new member of staff due to impressive growth over the last few years and winning new clients from larger firms. Your role will be varied, and will include assisting with the preparation of statutory accounts and management accounts for a wide range of clients, tax returns, VAT returns, bookkeeping for clients and various reports, analysis and business management assignments for a wide range of very interesting clients. Your role will be varied and challenging, and training will be provided on the above duties where necessary. You will work in a team of 10 that will provide you with many growth opportunities in the future. This firm currently uses CCH for accounts production and sageline 50 for bookkeeping and are starting to move some clients over to Xero so you will be able to improve your knowledge of this software package.
To be considered for this new role it is likely you will be a recently qualified AAT, or studying levels 3 or 4 on your AAT or passed a few papers of the ACCA. You must have at least 12 months of experience working for a UK based practice firm, and have experience of the above duties, particularly bookkeeping, VAT returns and assisting in the preparation of accounts. Experience of a wide range of software packages, including CCH, sage and Xero, would be an advantage but training will be provided if necessary. You must now be looking to upgrade to a large Top 20 practice but in a medium sized team where you can continue with your accountancy training and support and work with an interesting client base.
