BIM Manager Assistant / Project Designer

The position is based in London with regular hands on site visits in the UK and occasionally abroad.
We have a number of roles available depending on the candidates experience and passions, all are unique and very rewarding, you will be involved in timber construction projects from Early design through coordination with some of the UK's leading Architects and Consultants, on to issuing fabrication data to manufacturers and monitoring the construction on site.
The company has integrated BIM into it's core and is currently getting Level 2 accreditation. We are always dedicated to improving our BIM processes with user manuals and custom API and are keen to fully integrate 4D BIM into our current workflow.
You will be working in a team of 25 experienced Timber Engineers, Project Designers & Project Managers with a passion for a better way of building and putting technology at the forefront of our processes.
The chosen candidate will be given a wealth of knowledge in Cross Laminated Timber design and construction, along with understanding solid timber structures and contributing to the office BIM processes.
A good knowledge of Autodesk Revit is required.
Knowledge of creating and customising walls, complex curtain walls, floors, families and nested Families, as well as understanding the modelling techniques in the family editor and how to design the framework for a Family component (create Reference planes, Lines, using dimensions to control geometric parameters) would be of interest. Along with working with Revit template files and overall management settings.
Full time and varied role, working on live projects ranging from small high-end houses to large schools & multi-story residential schemes.
No engineering background needed but potential to branch into engineering role if suited / desired as well as middle management positions and BIM management roles.
Experience in the UK construction sector would be an advantage but the role could also be suited to a recent graduate with a good level of understanding of Revit.
Not limited but usually suited well to Architectural Technologist / BIM Technician / Graduate Structural Engineer
Proven Revit experience is a requirement, passion for technology, timber and the environment is an advantage.
