An exciting opportunity has arisen with West Suffolk Councils. We are currently looking for a Business Support/System Administrator to come and join our team.  You will join us on a full time, permanent basis and will receive a competitive starting salary of £20,138 per annum.

We are looking for an efficient and enthusiastic individual to join our dedicated Planning and Regulatory Business Support team.

More about the role as our Business Support/System Administrator

In this role you will be one of the System Administrators for all of the systems used within Planning and Regulatory Services developing specialised knowledge in our databases (Northgate and Lalpac).  You will provide support to officers within the service using these systems, and work with managers to ensure that the systems are used in the most efficient and effective manner.

The role will also provide administrative support to the regulatory services, which includes areas such as Food Hygiene, Health & Safety, Public Health and Housing, Licensing, Environmental Protection and dealing with finance for the service. 

Skills and experience required of our Business Support/System Administrator

You will possess excellent communication and IT skills, with proven experience of working with databases.  The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, be highly organised, with an attention to detail and accuracy are all essential for this role as well as being a team player.
