Our client is one of the UK’s leading provider of Financial Services outsourcing services is seeking a Compliance Assistant to assist the Compliance Manager with the implementation of processes and procedures to ensure they meet financial services laws and regulations.

Acting in an advisory capacity, monitoring processes and being an expert on regulatory affairs, whilst support in the preparation of reports for management, group and clients.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

      • Compliance monitoring reviews
      • Preparing monthly, quartlery and annual reports
      • Review suspicious activity reports and carry out investigations
      • Review financial crime and unusual payments
      • Deputise for the Compliance Manager
      • Database housekeeping
      • Provide training and act as mentor staff
      • Assist with projects in agreed deadlines and achieve specific objectives
      • Provide support with the investigation of complaints

Our client is looking for someone with a proven track record in Compliance with knowledge of the financial services law/regulations and codes including AML. You will be a strong team player with good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both colleagues and clients.

In addition to this, you will possess team leadership and mentoring skills, strong attention to detail, and complete work consistently to a high level of quality. Our client has a strong focus on delivering a high quality of customer service.

The successful candidate will be CeMAP qualified (or equivalent), and preferably hold the CeRER or equivalent qualification. You must be comfortable working under pressure to meet deadlines and can use your own initiative as well as working without close supervision. Excellent IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office are also essential.
