Frontline is a charity which works to transform the lives of children in need. They do this by recruiting high performing graduates and career changers to join their two year social work education programme. The programme has a focus on preparing people to be qualified social workers in the child protection / child in need areas of statutory social work. Participants spend two years in a partner local authority. In Year One they complete a Postgraduate Diploma in Social Work; in Year Two they are the employees of the local authority, undertaking a Master's Degree in Social Work.
Head of Region (London)
£61,000 + 11% employer pension contribution
The Head of Region will be the senior leader for the London region. Responsible for all aspects of programme organisation and delivery in the region, they will have a clear vision for outstanding social work practice and education with an understanding of practice models and theories. Key aspects of the role include profile raising and building and managing partnerships, the inspirational leadership of a diverse team and developing a strong regional identity in which local authorities collaborate to share learning. The Head of Region (London) will be part of a peer group of Regional Heads who together will develop the role and share effective ways of working that ensures that learning is shared.
The right person for the role will be a qualified and registered social worker with a Masters-level education. They will be a charismatic leader who is positive and optimistic and builds a team with mission and vision, whilst also understanding the importance of process and reporting. Confident and collaborative, they will be comfortable presenting to large and small groups, building and maintaining strong relationships with Universities and Local Authorities, and will be comfortable in a fast growing organisation. Passionate about children and families social work they will have the resilience and commitment to make the London Region the best it can be.
