Sous Chef - Gastro Pub
To support the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the Kitchen and be able to manage kitchen efficiently in their absence, Coach and direct whilst ensuring appropriate leadership and support is provided to our teams to deliver agreed high standards of food. Sous chef will need to portray high standards of professionalism to inspire and lead your team by example.
Good salary plus up to 15% yearly bonus paid.
Work to provide a professional level of service, to create inspiring environments and be instrumental in motivating, coaching and developing all the Team.
Be responsible for providing a high level of quality food, maintain hygiene standards, ensure all food buffets are garnished and presented to pre-agreed requirements.
Use the correct processes and equipment for specific tasks as agreed with Development chef/Head Chef/Sous Chef/.
Direct team and be a focal point for the kitchen brigade to problem solve.
Be open to change and drive processes, embrace changes as agreed with Leaders
Ensure proper arrangement and garnishing of food
Monitor the quality and quantity of food prepared
Ensure all dishes are prepared according to specification and served at the correct quality, portion size, and temperature
Work towards exceeding guest's expectation by encouraging and promoting high level of service
Ensure consistent and smooth running of food production
Be able to find operational solutions for team members when under pressure.
