My client based in North Tyneside are looking for a Accounts Assistant to join their busy, vibrant team.
To be suitable for this role, you will ideally have between 2 and 3 years’ experience of accounts preparation and in an accountancy practise environment. Needless to say, this post requires organisation, excellent skills and the ability to work independently in a demanding office environment with tight deadlines.
You will liaise with clients, colleagues, and external organisations in connection with day to day matters, queries, and official enquiries. You should be a team player with good interpersonal skills, planning and organisational skills. Demonstrating initiative and flexibility is a must along with good IT skills, especially spreadsheets, good written and verbal communication skills and numerate with good attention to detail.
- Bank reconciliation.
- Transactions postings.
- Maintenance of asset register.
- VAT returns.
- Month end journal entries.
- Preparation of Monthly management and Annual accounts.
- Knowledge of Sage, IRIS, XERO and cloud based account packages are essential.
This is a full-time, permanent role.
