I'm currently working with an excellent document management business based in the Midlands who are looking for a Business Development Manager with a proven track record to join their small, but growing team.  They have a great culture & a fantastic team - it's a cracking place to work.

Your role will be that of a new business hunter - initially consisting of 100% new business development, which will be primarily field based.  Once you've won a new account you will then manage the relationship for the first year before passing it onto the account management team - so it will become more of a hybrid "hunter/farmer" position.  Your territory will be largely Midlands based

You will have warm leads provided to you via the website, however you will also be expected to self-generate leads via various sources (cold calling, social media, networking, exhibitions etc).  

This is a solutions sales position, whereby you will need to uncover & assess a client's needs & then present a solution to suit.  They offer a range of services so you'll be able to cross-sell as well.

We're looking for a Business Development Manager with a proven track record of bringing in new business, ideally within document management.  If however you're solutions sales focused then your skills would certainly be transferable.  We're looking for someone who can create opportunities & successfully manage relationships once the account has been won.  

You should be a self-motivated field sales individual who can prioritise & organise their day to get the most out of it.

In return you'll receive a basic salary of £30,000 + car + uncapped commission (expected OTE £40k)
