A worldwide leading manufacturer of adhesive components and solutions for the Healthcare, Industrial and Electronics markets wish to add to theoir team.

Overview Member of the International Sales Desk Team based in the UK, incorporating UK, DE, FR and IT colleagues. Reporting to Sales Desk Manager.
Responsibilities Based at Ashton, the International Sales Desk team comprises customers spanning the key European markets of UK and Ireland, France, Germany and Italy. Sales Desk executives work in conjunction with their external counter parts to ensure profitable growth of sales and maximise business opportunities at all levels. This is a role with great autonomy and while managed by the Sales Desk Manager, you will be a self-starter who is able to work independently of others, whilst also adhering to commercial guidelines and principles.
The key responsibilities:
- To profitably grow sales for your region and/or segment, through the management of your existing accounts and also the development of new business.
- Generate and manage a sales pipeline. To promote the entire range to maximise product diversity and portfolio adoption with your customers.
- Track activities and compile any pertinent information that may have an effect on the business via CRM.
- Provide excellent customer service to new and existing customers. Using pen profiles to understand your top customers and increase intimacy which will help identify opportunities for value creation.
- Ensure all Sales Desk activities are updated and tracked in a timely manner to maximise opportunities for revenue growth.
- Act as first point of contact for new enquiries, both web based and telephone based, helping to identify a customer`s needs, and decide on the best route to service this need, whether through an existing distributor or direct
- Support promotional plans and new product launches.
- To handle sample and quotation requests, acting within guidelines.
- Feedback external data concerning customers, competitors and market activities.

Essential skills and experience:
- Sales experience - ideally both internal telephone based and external sales
- Experience of meeting and exceeding set targets and performance indicators
- Experience of working in a team environment, with supervisory and managerial experience preferable
- Experience of forecasting and budget cycles
- Excellent Communication skills and the ability to communicate with different levels of the business, including senior managers and/or directors
- Ability to report financial performance
- Good understanding of financial terms including Budgets and Gross Margin
- Ability to build strong product knowledge
- Be proactive by nature
- Ability to develop relationships, negotiate and close business
- Excellent telephone skills
- Literate, numerate
- Computer literate with experience of Microsoft Excel and Word
- Experience of CRM systems
- Trilingual - fluent in English, French and German
- Highly organised, with an ability to work to deadlines and report in a timely manner
Additional desirable skills, experience and qualifications:
- Previous experience of SAP
- Experience of sales for a technical manufacturing company
- Able to demonstrate experience of working with minimal supervision
