Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer
West Midlands
c. £30k per annum

We have a new opportunity for an experienced Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer to join a leading manufacturer in the chemical industry. This role will involve working as part of a team responsible for providing Instrumentation expertise on projects relating to installation and calibration as well as reactive, preventative and predictive maintenance.

Key duties will include:

Installation and maintenance of PLC, plant and pipeline instrumentation
Troubleshooting and calibration of instruments
Diagnose and correct problems associated with PLCs

Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

Completed a recognised instrumenation apprenticeship, educated to a minimum of C&G level
COMPEX (Hazardous Areas) modules EX01 & 03 as a minimum
Previous experience working within chemical process or other regulated industries such as pharmaceutical, petro-chem, food, or oil & gas
Able to read and use drawings and schematics, including Electrical (schematic & single line diagrams), Instrumentation, loop & spec sheets, Pneumatic and P&ID’s
Good understanding of control and safety systems and functional safety standards IEC61508, IEC 61511

Hours of work – Monday to Friday 08:45 to 16:30. 25 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays. The salary for this position is circa £30K per annum
